It was considered quite interesting to compare the rheological behaviour with base bitumen and EVA modified bitumens. Polymers exhibit non-Newtonian fluid rheological behavior when the viscosity decreases and the shear rate increases (Hirasaki & Pope, 1974). Polymers flowing through porous media may display one of the following four flow regimes: Newtonian, shear thinning, shear thickening, and degradation. These cationic polymers are known to have a strong effect on the surfactant precipitation,20 surface tension isotherms,21 and thinning behavior of the respective foam films.22−24 These observations suggest that the cationic polymers may have a strong impact on the foam rheological properties as well, without this effect being studied so far.
